Description

This course aims to provide a general education. That is, initial skill development in reading, writing and numeracy and skill development in a variety of areas to meet personal needs and to facilitate participation in the community, or other workplace and further education and training. On successful completion of this course a participant will be able to:
- clarify project goals with an appropriate support person, plan, carry out, document and evaluate a project
- design, monitor and document an individual learning plan and maintain a portfolio of evidence
- read, interpret and evaluate familiar texts
- create simple texts
- interpret, use, estimate and calculate a range of simple mathematical information for immediate personal purposes and some less familiar contexts
