Description

The purpose of the course is to prepare learners to mentor Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples in order to support employment outcomes. The course is aimed at Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous learners who may be interested in mentoring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

This course is intended to provide learners with the following vocational outcomes:
- the addition of a mentoring role to the learner’s current employment
- a role as a workplace or community mentor
The Certificate III in Mentoring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People will benefit Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and the broader community by supporting access to employment and employment retention for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Schedule
To achieve the qualification 10650NAT Certificate III in Mentoring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People the learner must complete nine (9) units consisting of four (4) core and five (5) electives.
