To provide students with the knowledge and skills gained during the course to
work effectively underwater using scuba diving equipment.

The learner is required to demonstrate competency in each of the learning
outcomes in line with the assessment method shown.

The module is to be assessed internally using competence as a measure of
student achievement.

A pass in both the theory and practical components is required. Theory
components are assessed by oral or written examination. Practical component
assessed by satisfactory demonstration of open water diving skills.
