To understand the basic structure of plant cells,
their differentiation and reproduction.

To recognise the complexity of the internal
structure of angiosperm plants, especially those
parts related to transport of food materials.

To understand the physiology of plants, insofar as
this knowledge helps to manipulate their growth in
controlled environments.

To formulate plans to carry out investigations in
plant physiology.

To describe the gross structure and lifecycle of
ferns, conifers, and flowering plants.
