Description
This is a training program that leads to the completion of the Metals and Engineering Training Package MEM05 v3 qualification MEM40105 Certificate IV in Engineering.
This pathway also provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in the electrical instrumentation sector of the engineering industry.
This qualification is designed to reflect the role of team leaders and supervisors in the industry sector.

4. Licensing Outcome units
Candidates must successfully complete two elective units, NUE505A and NUE505B as part of the contract of training. These units are recognised by licensing authorities, and therefore this qualification can be used as the basis for
an application in each state/territory for a license to practise as an electrician. It can also be used to satisfy regulations regarding refrigeration and air conditioning work. Local regulations and requirements for a FULL Electrical Licence should be checked for details.
The following units of competence must be achieved for Electrical Licensing:
- NUE505A Electrical Systems Safety
- NUE505B Electrical Systems Safety - Monitoring Competency
