Description

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals, including plant or equipment controllers in specialist automated operations, working in a control centre environment who perform tasks involving a broad range of day-to-day operational activities within their area of responsibility. They are responsible for undertaking skilled work within a value chain network, to utilise complex control systems, optimise specialised automated operations, control automation safety risks through situational awareness and dynamic decisions making, and influence quality outcomes through collaborative remote communication.

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = thirteen (13)
- nine (9) core units, plus
- four (4) elective units, of which:
- at least one (1) must be from the elective units listed below
- up to three (3) may be from elsewhere in this or any other currently endorsed training package or accredited course.

Where units selected from other Training Packages or accredited courses have prerequisites, the requirements of the host Training Package must be met.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid industry-supported vocational outcome.
