Description
This qualification is designed for job roles in the forest and forest products industry.
Job roles
This qualification has two employment pathways for operational environments in the forest and forest products industry.
Arboriculture Worker
Forestry Worker
Licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements may apply to units in this qualification in some states & territories at the time of publication and may differ according to jurisdiction.
Some imported units in the elective bank may be subject to licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements. These units must be implemented in line with the licensing requirements outlined in the unit’s parent Training Package.

Packaging Rules
To be awarded the FWP10116 Certificate I in Forest and Forest Products, competency must be achieved in seven (7) units of competency.- five (5) core units plus
- two (2) units from the elective group, the total of which can include one elective unit from this or any endorsed Training Package or State/Territory accredited course recommended for packaging at Certificate I or II level.
Elective units must be relevant to work undertaken in the forest and forest products sector of the industry.
