Packaging Rules
Eleven (11) units of competency are required for this qualification including:
- four (4) core units
- seven (7) elective units
- choose a minimum of five (5) units from the elective units listed in the qualification outline.
- choose the remaining two (2)units from either the elective units listed in the qualification outline or elsewhere within this training package or another endorsed training package or accredited course.

All elective units selected from outside this qualification must be from an equivalent qualification level or higher.

Elective units selected from outside the qualification must not duplicate content already covered by units in this qualification.

Only two (2) chainsaw units of competency can be counted towards achievement of the qualification.

The pre-requisite units attached to any of the elective units must be undertaken and are additional to the number of elective units required for the qualification.
