The requirements for the Certificate III in Sport and Recreation will comprise achievement of twenty-four (24) to thirty-one (31) units of competency: Fifteen (15) core units, one (1) specialisation group and all units within that group and five (5) elective units.

PLUS SPECIALISATION UNITS - Learners to complete ONE (1) specialisation area - Amenity Horticulture, Events and Facilities, General Administration, Hospitality, Retail, Sales and Marketing, as listed in groups 2-7. Learners will be required to complete the number of units listed under each area of specialisation.

PLUS - ELECTIVES - Learners to complete FIVE (5) units of competency from any Certificate II/III/IV qualifications within the Sport and Recreation Industry Training Packages (Community Recreation, Fitness, Outdoor Recreation, Sport) or units from Certificate III qualifications within Training Packages from other industries. Any units selected must be relevant to the occupational outcome sought and should be appropriate to the AQF level.
