Description

To further equip students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential
for working with people with a wide range of physical, intellectual and
multiple disabilities.

To develop students' awareness of, and ability to use, a wide range of
programmes, assessment and evaluation procedures that are appropriate in the
human services (disability) area.

To equip students to work as 'Front Line Managers' within a Human Services
agency and provide them with the necessary skills to successfully deal with the
problems commonly confronting management in this area, for example, problem
identification, analysis and resolution skills.

To enable students to adopt a values based approach towards providing services
for people with disabilities.
