State Implementation and Classification
Description
This award is designed to ensure that the education and training provided by
DETAFE in the area of accounting, meets the current and intermediate needs of
industry, government and the community.
A modularised curriculum structure has been devised which allows for a variety
of delivery modes, with a move towards resource based learning and for flexible
entry, progress and exit.
The Associate Diploma of Business (Accounting) aims to produce graduates who
have high level specialist skills and may engage in the supervision of others
as prescribed by Levels 6 and 7 of the National Training Board Australian
standards Framework.
The Advanced Certificate in Accounting aims to produce graduates who have high
level specialist skills and may engage in the supervision of others as
prescribed by
Level 4 of the National Training Board Australian Standards Framework. The
Advanced Certificate is a nested award within the Associate Diploma.
