Description

The target participants for this qualification are direct or supervisory clinical and care workers in Residential Aged Care, Community Care and Allied Health Organisations, who wish to improve care for people living with dementia.

It will equip participants with the underpinning knowledge and leadership skills to implement positive change to enhance the well-being of people living with dementia in their workplace.

Schedule
To be awarded the course in Certificate IV in Leadership and Innovation in Dementia Services, participants must complete all core units.

A Statement of Attainment will be issued for any units of competency in the full course is not completed.

Total number of units to achieve the qualification = sixteen (16)
- four (4) units from the BSB Business Services Training Package
- nine (9) units are from the CHC Community Services Training Package
- three (3) units are enterprise units from Alzheimer's WA
There are no prerequisites to individual units, however participants must be in a position of working with people living with dementia.
