To provide structured entry level training for people wishing to pursue a range of occupations associated with the sport and recreation industry.

To develop entry level competencies necessary to:

- apply a range of general education and work skills to obtain
employment and successfully participate in the world of work,
particularly in the sport and recreation industry.

1. CORE

Due to the combination of on and off-the-job training for traineeship programs, the learner hours indicated below for some national modules have been reduced for this traineeship, to enable a total of 400 hours off-the-job training. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT PROVIDERS REFER TO THE ACTUAL TRAINEESHIP AGREEMENT/PACKAGE TO DETERMINE THE ACTUAL HOURS ALLOCATED FOR THE OFF-THE-JOB COMPONENT FOR EACH MODULE. It is advised that training providers procure a copy of the full module documentation from the Sport and Recreation Training Australia (SRTA) telephone 02 9923 4359, DEETYA or the WA Department of Training's Entry Level Training Unit. Preparation and application for Recognition of Prior Learning
(RPL)
