State Implementation and Classification
Description
This course aims to provide a general education. That is, initial skill development in reading, writing and numeracy and skill development in a variety of areas to meet personal needs and to facilitate participation in the community, or other workplace and further education and training. On successful completion of this course a participant will be able to:
- clarify project goals with appropriate person(s), plan, carry out and evaluate a project
- identify a range of pathway options, develop a learning plan in relation to identified goals, assemble a portfolio and evaluate progress in relation to goals
- read, interpret and evaluate texts
- create a range of texts
- investigate, interpret and apply knowledge of every day and formal mathematics in a range of contexts

4. This course was placed on STARS by Challenger TAFE on 9th May 2007
5. Training providers who wish to deliver this course must obtain written approval from Victoria University and be registered by their State/Territory accrediting body.
6. As per Version 3 update (3/42010) the course hours has been changed from 370 to 330 (As 370 was a data entry error). Also Group 5 of the course structure has been updated.
