Description
To provide learners with the skills to effectively use a spreadsheet package
for common scientific applications.

Range of Variables
Skills may be acquired either on- or off-the-job using a variety of methods.
It is preferable that learning take place over a minimum of nine weeks so that
there is adequate time for learners to assimilate knowledge and reinforce
concepts.
Learners should have continued and ready access to a computer system with
appropriate software (eg. Microsoft Works) to enable them to practise their
skills.
Where learners are released from work to study intensively at an educational
institution for a set period (block release), learners must have prior access
to learning materials (eg. course notes) that cover all theory and practical
instructions.
