Description

This qualification reflects the role of dancers with the necessary technique and talent to work in professional dance companies. At this level individuals are expected to apply wide-ranging, highly specialised technical, creative and conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives. They have autonomy in performing complex operations and can be expected to apply initiative and judgement in planning, design, and technical or management functions.

Total number of units = eighteen (18)
- seven (7) core units plus
- eleven (11) elective units, of which:
- a minimum of five (5) units must be from Group A
- of the remaining units:
- up to six (6) units may be from Group A and/or Group B
- up to three (3) units may be from an accredited course or any currently endorsed Training Package qualification at Diploma level or above.

The elective units chosen must be relevant to the work outcome and meet local industry needs.
