Description

Scope
Those gaining this qualification will be able to acquire skills and knowledge needed for a career in system operation.

Packaging Rules
The requirements for granting this qualification will be met when competency is demonstrated and achieved for:
- All sixteen (16) core competency standard units, and
- A combination of elective competency standard units to achieve a total weighting of 900 points in accordance with the Elective Competency Standard Units table.
- All the required prerequisite competency standard units have been met.

Group A Elective Units
- a maximum of 270 weighting points may be completed.
- Imported units from other training packages and/or state accredited courses can be added to this group, but they must be selected from qualifications where the unit is first packaged at AQF level 5. If units have not being assigned a weighting by the relevant EE-Oz Industry Technical Advisory Committee, their weighting will be 10 points.

Group B Elective Units
- a maximum of 360 weighting points may be completed.

Group C Elective Units
- a maximum of 200 weighting points may be completed.

Group D Elective Points
- All units may be selected from this group; a minimum of 190 to a maximum of 750 weighting points
