Description
This qualification covers the role of call taking and dispatch in an ambulance communication/coordination environment. This qualification is suited to Australian Apprenticeships pathways.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTSTo gain entry into HLT41112 Certificate IV in Ambulance Communications a candidate must demonstrate competence through a recognised training program or recognition process, in the following units of competency:
- HLTFA311A Apply first aid
- HLTIN301C Comply with infection control policies and procedures
- ICTCC301A Manage workplace relationships in a contact centre
- ICTCC320A Use multiple information systems
PACKAGING RULES
Thirteen (13) units of competency are required for this qualification, including:
- nine (9) core units
- four (4) elective units
A wide range of elective units is available, including:
- Group A WHS electives of which one must be selected for this qualification
- Group B electives which are recommended for culturally aware and respectful practice
- Other relevant electives listed listed in the qualification outline
- Units of competency to address workplace requirements and packaged at the level of this qualification or higher in Health and/or Community Services Training Packages
- Where appropriate, to address workplace requirements, up to two (2) units of competency packaged at the level of this qualification or higher in other relevant Training Packages or accredited courses where the details of those courses are available on TGA or other public listing
