Description

This qualification covers workers who undertake a range of neurological diagnostic investigations and provide assistance to neurologists for specialized procedures.
Occupational titles for these workers may include:
Neurophysiology technician
Neurophysiology technologist

Packaging Rules
Sixteen (16) units of competency are required for award of this qualification, including:
- twelve (12) core units
- four (4) elective units

A wide range of elective units is available, including:
- Group A neurophysiology electives - at least two (2) must be selected
- Group B electives which are recommended for culturally aware and respectful practice
- Other relevant electives listed in the qualification outline
- Units of competency to address workplace requirements and packaged at the level of this qualification or higher in Health and/or Community Services Training Packages
- Where appropriate, to address workplace requirements, units of competency packaged at the level of this qualification or higher in other relevant Training Packages
