Description
This qualification reflects the role of metal or coal processing facility Managers who perform tasks involving a high level of autonomy and requiring the application of significant judgement in planning and determining the selection of equipment/roles/techniques for themselves and others. They are required to demonstrate the application of a broad range of technical, managerial, coordination and planning and implement mine management plans.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Packaging Rules
Successful completion of sixteen (16) units of competency made up of:- eight (8) core units, and
- eight (8) elective units of which:
- at least six (6) must be chosen from the elective units list
- up to two (2) units may come from Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in this, or any other Training Package or accredited course
Units chosen must be relevant to the job function.
There are no prerequisites to imported units listed in this qualification. Where a unit is imported as an elective care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisites specified are complied with.
