This qualification can only be obtained by fulfilling the obligations of an apprentice under a training contract except: (a) a person who is temporarily living in Australia on a student visa issued by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship may obtain the qualification through a registered training provider approved to deliver a course for the qualification; or (b) a person seeking recognition of prior learning under s60I of the VET Act.

This training program is a representation of the qualification FDF30603 taken from the Food Processing Training Package FDF03 which should be consulted for a full description of requirements. FD03 is endorsed until April 2006.

3. This qualification was entered on to the STARS by the METS CSSN on 11 December 2003.

4. This qualification was amended by VET Teaching & Learning on 21/4/06 to ensure that the packaging rules reflect those in the Training Package FDF03. Units FDFCORHS2A, FDFCORQAS2A and FDFCORFSY2A were deleted from Group 1 and the nominal hours for FDFCORHS3A and FDFCORQFS3A were increased from 35 to 60 and 90 respectively.
