Description

This qualification reflects the role of entrylevel workers in underground coal mines, who perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge, in defined contexts working under direct supervision.

Total number of units = eleven (11)
- nine (9) core units plus
- two (2) elective units of which no more than one (1) may be chosen from elsewhere within this training package, or from another endorsed training package, or from an accredited course.

All elective units selected from outside this qualification must reflect current occupational and learning outcomes of this AQF qualification level.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid vocational outcome.
