The purpose of this module is to provide competency based training in the
identification and analysis of input and operational costs, and in the
determination and recommendation of methods and means of reducing costs at the
same time as improving operational efficiency and financial
performance.

The aims of the module are for participants to acquire the skills, knowledge,
attributes and professional practices that will enable them to recognise the
financial implications of managing costs and improving operational efficiency,
and manage operations with an emphasis on cost control and improvement in
operations management to achieve effective financial performance.
