Description

This is a qualification for people working in the swimming pool and spa service sector. It applies to technicians in the field who apply analytic and problem-solving skills to treat water quality problems, as well as install, service and repair the key systems and components of domestic, commercial and public swimming pools and spas.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Packaging Rules
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
Twenty (20) units of competency
- eight (8) core units
- twelve (12) elective units.

Electives are to be selected as follows:
- a minimum of ten (10) elective units must be selected from the electives listed below
- up to two (2) elective units may be selected from those listed below or from any currently endorsed training package or accredited course provided they do not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification.
