Description

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge to work as a non-destructive testing (NDT) technician in manufacturing, engineering and associated industries. The qualification covers theory and practice for major NDT techniques, materials skills and knowledge, and general support skills required to work as an NDT technician.
There are 0 minimum work placement hours required for this unit.
Completion of this qualification may contribute to recognition at Level 2 or Level 3 against Australian NDT technical standards and NDT industry accreditation schemes.

Packaging Rules
The requirement for achievement of the MEM50425 Diploma of Engineering - Non-Destructive Testing is the achievement of competence in twenty (20) units of competency made up of:
- Seven (7) core units
- Thirteen (13) elective units, consisting of:
- at least eight (8) Group A units
- other units to bring the total number of elective units to thirteen (13).

These may come from Group A or B; up to four may come from any endorsed Training Package or accredited course these units must contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
