Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in public or private organisations that conduct civil infrastructure asset management tasks. It applies to individuals who utilise methods, tools and materials to conduct data collection in support of the management and maintenance of civil infrastructure assets in one or many asset classes.
These individuals apply judgement to a broad range of tasks related to asset management. They apply factual, technical and theoretical knowledge to develop technical solutions to non-routine problems. These individuals have limited responsibility for the quantity and quality of the output of others in a team and independent contractors.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = twelve (12)
- six (6) core units plus
- six (6) elective units, of which:
- at least one (1) must be from Group A
- of the remaining electives, up to five (5) electives may be from any elective group
- up to two (2) may be from elsewhere in this or any other currently endorsed Certificate IV or above training package qualification or accredited course.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid industry-supported vocational outcome.
