Recommended electives for those working in design are:

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = thirteen (13)- five (5) core units plus
- eight (8) Elective units constisting of:
- at least six (6) from Group A, B or C elective units
- Noting: one (1) unit from Group A must be selected to peruse a design pathway at Certificate IV
- up to two (2) relevant units may be selected from units recommended for packaging at Certificate II, Certificate III or Certificate IV in any endorsed Training Package or State/Territory accredited course
Elective units must be relevant to work undertaken in the timber truss and frame design sector of the industry
