Description
The purpose of this module is to provide competency-based training in effective
communication skills in organising and conducting structured meetings, and in
recording the outcomes of those meetings in the workplace.

This module is suitable for participants who work independently on tasks which
require a combination of technical and theoretical knowledge and motor skills.
The participants may be required to carry out limited creative, planning,
design or supervisory functions.
Range of Variables
The module provides for delivery on-the-job and off-the-job, in a variety of
modes, including classroom based, teleconferencing and interactive video.

In this module teachers/trainers/deliverers should consider organising small
group rooms for simultaneous assessment of several participants. This would
require a method of recording the assessment activity, eg video recording.
Strategies should be selected to reflect the nature of the learning outcomes
and the needs of the participants. They should include experiential learning
of structured meetings. NO attention should be paid to formal procedures (eg
points of order, procedural motions) as this is outside the scope of this
module.
Evidence Guide
Internal Assessment 100%

The demands of any assessment task should be NO MORE than required to
demonstrate competency. Demonstration requires assessment of the task during
performance as well as evaluation of the product.

Where practicable, assessment tasks should relate to the participant's
vocational focus.
