Description
This qualification applies to individuals working as a pre-media tradesperson. Typically they design and prepare layouts and artwork, manipulate images and text to meet production and design requirements and apply solutions to a defined range of problems associated with, and characteristic to, the print medium. They may also provide some leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = twenty one (21)- five (5) core units, plus
- sixteen (16) elective units of which:
- six (6) elective units must be from Group A Technical units
- four (4) elective units must be from Group A Prepress Technical units or B Print Technical units
- three (3) elective units must be chosen from Group A Prepress Technical units , Group B Print Technical units, Group C Support units or any other qualification in ICP Training Package at this level or one level below or above
- three (3) elective units may be selected from the remaining listed elective units or any currently endorsed training package qualification or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
