Description

This qualification addresses the education and training needs of adults to improve their learning, reading, writing, oral communication, numeracy, digital literacy and general education skills to access further study, employment and/or to participate in the community.

This qualification covers skill development at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Pre Level 1 through to Level 2 in some areas. It provides learners with a pathway into general education and/or vocational qualifications.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Schedule
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in:
- sixteen (16) units, including:
- eight (8) core units
- eight (8) elective units.

The electives are to be chosen as follows:
- up to four (4) units from Group A, where training and assessment at ACSF Pre Level 1A and/or Pre Level 1B is required
- up to eight (8) units from Group B
- up to two (2) units may be chosen from any other current accredited course or endorsed Training Package, ensuring that the overall integrity of the qualification’s Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) alignment is maintained.

A Statement of Attainment will be issued for any unit of competency completed if the full course is not completed.
