Description

Rationale:
This qualification is designed for Aviation Transport Protection within the Aviation Industry. Successful achievement of the qualification will require competence in units of competency that relate to the job role requirements defined as aligned at AQF Level 2.

This qualification reflects the skills and knowledge required for a Passenger/Non-Passenger Screener in the Australian Aviation Industry.

This qualification is aligned to the occupational role of:
Aviation Transport Protection Officer - Passenger/Non-Passenger Screener.

Packaging Rules
A successful assessment outcome for a total of thirteen (13) units of competency comprising:
- seven (7) core units plus
- one (1) unit from elective Group A plus
- five (5) general elective units, which may be taken from the general elective units list, or may include up to three (3) units that may be drawn (with appropriate contextualisation) from a qualification at the same level or a higher level in this Training Package or any other endorsed Training Package or accredited course, provided that the units contribute to the vocational outcome of the qualification.

Where imported units are selected, care must be taken to ensure that all pre-requisite units specified are complied with.
