2.
ELECTIVES Learner to complete six (6) units from one or more of the FUNCTIONAL AREAS of the Hospitality Training Package specified below. Remaining units may be selected from other areas of the Hospitality Training Package or any relevant endorsed Training Package. Only one language unit may be counted as an elective within this qualification. Selection of elective units should be guided by the job outcome sought, local industry requirements and the characteristics of this qualification (as per the AQF descriptors). Where the competencies involve the service of alcohol, the unit THHBFB09B Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol must be included.
Note that nominal hours for the qualification may be higher if Certificate I is not completed previously. However, nominal hours total for Certificate I and II should not exceed 365.
**FOOD & BEVERAGE** Units updated. NEW STUDENTS enrolling in or after 2004 must select version B competencies or higher where superceeding earlier lower alpha versions.
