Description
This qualification describes the skills and knowledge for trade level roles carried out in the irrigation industry.
Individuals with this qualification perform tasks under broad supervision involving a broad range of skills that are applied in a wide variety of contexts, which will involve discretion and judgement in selecting and operating equipment, coordinating resources and applying contingency measures during work.
Work must comply with work health and safety and environmental regulations and legislation that apply to the workplace.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Packaging Rules
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in twenty two (22) units of competency:- nine (9) core units plus
- thirteen (13) elective units.
Elective units must ensure the integrity of the qualification’s Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome. The electives are to be chosen as follows:
- seven (7) must be from Group A electives
- two (2) must be from Group A or B electives
- four (4) from the remaining units listed in Groups A or B, or any other endorsed Training Package or accredited course packaged at Certificate III.
An asterisk (*) on TGA next to the unit code indicates that there are prerequisite requirements which must be met when packaging the qualification. Please refer to the Prerequisite requirements table on TGA for details.
