Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working at trade level in the design, development, production and supply of manufactured textile products such as yacht sails, shades, shade sails, PVC and canvas products. Often these products are designed and produced to meet specific customer needs. These individuals use specialised technical and operational knowledge and skills and may be involved in leading others.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.. However, in some states and territories there may be licensing requirements for the construction, repair and installation of shade sails. Local regulations should be checked for details.

Total number of units = twenty two (22)
- nine (9) core units
- thirteen (13) elective units, consisting of:
- at least four (4) units from Group A
- nine (9) additional units from Group A, Group B, any endorsed Training Package or accredited course - these units must be relevant to the work outcome.

Note: Where prerequisite units are identified they must be counted in the total number of units required for achievement of the qualification.
