1.
To attain a Certificate IV in Local Government (Planning) twelve (12) units must be achieved.
COMMON POOL UNITS: Learners are to complete four (4) units from the common pool.
2.
SPECIALIST PLANNING POOL: Learners are to complete a minimum five (5) units from the list below:

3.
ELECTIVE UNITS: Learners are to complete a maximum of three (3) elective units from any section of the Local Government Training Package or from any other endorsed Training Package, while ensuring the integrity of the AQF level. The three elective units may be imported. No more than one elective unit may be drawn from an AQF level below or above the AQF level of this qualifiction.
