Description

This qualification applies to individuals who perform a range of mainly routine tasks in the printing and graphic arts industry. They work under direct supervision, and use limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. It is a preparatory qualification that can be used as a pathway into a range of specialist Certificate III qualifications within the printing and graphic arts industry.

Total number of units = Fifteen (15)
Four (4) core units plus;
Eleven (11) elective units

At least one (1) elective unit must be selected from at least five (5) of the six (6) elective groups.

Up to three (3) of the elective units may be selected from the remaining elective units or from qualifications at the same level or one level higher, in this or any other endorsed Training Package or accredited course.

Elective units must be relevant to the qualification, job role, work outcome and industry requirements. Unit selection is by negotiation and mutual agreement between the employee, employer and the RTO and is based on enterprise and individual needs.
