This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

Total number of units = fourteen (14)
- four (4) core units
- six (6) Group A units
- four (4) elective units

Two (2) elective units must be selected from the Group A and/or Group B units listed below.

The remaining two (2) elective units may be selected from the Group A and/or Group B units listed below or any unit of competency from any endorsed Training Package or accredited course.

No more than three (3) Group A or Group B units previously achieved as part of another qualification may be counted towards the qualification. Electives must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and be at appropriate qualification level.
