Description
This qualification applies to individuals working as print machinists who typically set up and operate letterpress, lithographic, flexographic, gravure printing presses, digital printers or screen printers and work on a range of printed products. They prepare material, monitor and run equipment and machinery and apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems. They may also provide guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = twenty one (21)- five (5) core units, plus
- sixteen (16) elective units of which:
- four (4) elective units must be from Group A Technical units
- six (6) elective units must be from Group A Technical units and/or Group B Support units
- three (3) units must be chosen from Group A Technical units, Group B Support units or any other qualification in ICP Training Package at this level or one level below or above
- three (3) units may be selected from the remaining listed elective units or any currently endorsed training package or accredited course at Certificate III or IV level.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

Gravure Printing
Select the following four (4) elective units:

Lithographic Printing
Select the following four (4) elective units:
