Description
This qualification reflects the role of those who work in a range of screen and media industries including animation, visual effects and content creation environments.
They use a broad range of specialised skills and a developed knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts in the screen, media and entertainment industries to solve a range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide some leadership and guidance to others with limited responsibility for the output of others and so at this level would be expected to have technical skills to complete routine and non-routine tasks and functions, and communication skills to guide activities and provide technical advice.
The job roles that relate to this qualification may include digital producer, content creator, communications technologist, animator, digital artist and motion graphics artist.

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = Thirteen (13)
- Four (4) core units plus
- Nine (9) elective units, of which:
- at least seven (7) must be from Groups A, B, C and/or D
- up to two (2) may be from Groups A, B, C, D, E, and/or F, or any other currently endorsed Certificate III or above training package qualification or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid industry-supported vocational outcome.
Where relevant, the choice of elective units set out in the packaging rules above can serve to provide the qualification with one of the following specialisations. The rules to achieve a specialisation are detailed at qualification end on TGA.
