Description
This qualification applies to individuals working in the print manufacturing area creating printed products by hand or machine. They are responsible for post-press and finishing stages of the print process and apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = twenty one (21)- four (4) core units plus
- seventeen (17) elective units of which:
- eight (8) elective units must be from Group A
- four (4) elective units must be from Group B
- three (3) elective units must be from Groups A, B and or C
- the remaining two (2) elective units may be selected from any currently endorsed training package or accredited course at Certificate III or IV level.
This qualification can provide for specialisations in particular areas of print manufacturing. Elective units that support the particular specialisation must be selected from Group B. Refer to the Companion Volume Implementation Guide for specific advice about choosing electives to support specialisations.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
